A beautiful and original infographic, this animated wind map shows the delicate tracery of wind flowing over the US. The animation (click on the title of this post), developed by artists Fernanda Viégas and Martin Wattenberg, creates a series of beautiful patterns depending on which direction the wind is flowing. The interactive project also allows you to zoom in to see more details in a specific area.
