The Escapist
Legend: A woman is left for dead and then buried in a shallow grave. She awoke and then dug herself out of the grave.
This legend is true. A man tried to kill his girlfriend of six years. He teased her, taped up her hand and feet and stuffer her in an old TB box. He then buried her alike and withdrew 500 pounds from her bank account using her ATM card. The woman user her engagement ring to cut through the tape and dig herself out of her grave.

Owlman
Terrified urban explorers wandering through abandoned hospital were ambushed by a prankster in creepy bird costume. This stunt was set up by Scottish filmmaker Lawrie Brewster in Kirkaldy, Fife. The production team set up seven hidden cameras to record peoples’ reactions. (Source & Video)
Room 8 is another short film I would recommend. It has a grim atmosphere. It’s about a man who receives an order to not open a box. It gave me a surrealist creepy vibe.

Mystery Bomb Shelter
An anonymous poster on 4chan shared the story of a shelter his grandfather, who had been in the war, had built. The family was never allowed in there so he jumped at the chance to check it out after his grandfather had passed away. They were looking for anything that might be worth selling in the estate sale, but what he found was shocking. (Source & Source)
Moving Skull Illusion. It seems this was crafted by bigblueboo. Holbein did it first, in his painting The Ambassadors & Robert Lazzarini then made it 3-D. Rober Lazzarini Skulls.
Echoes is another short horror/thriller film I’d recommend. It is well done and very creative. It gave me the chills. It’s about a woman who begins to see odd things concerning herself throughout the day.
