
Here are some nocturnal animals:
SMALL EARED GALAGO: They are known as bush babies and have remarkable jumping abilities. They can jump 6 ft straight up into the air. Because of their long thick skinned human like fingers, they can hold onto tree limbs and jump from branch to branch.

GIANT ANTEATER: They can be 5 to 7 ft. long. They use their sharp claws to rip open termite or ant mounds. They sleep during the day and feed after sunset.

INDIAN FLYING FOX: They are known as giant fruit bats. They have wings spans up to 6 ft long but only weigh 3 pounds.

OPOSSUM: When threatened or injured, the will play dead. They will even release a scent to smell like a dead animal. They can remain unconscious from 30 minutes to 4 hours.

BARN OWL: The barn owl heavily relies on sound to hunt for prey. They have acute hearing, and they can even detect movements of small prey under ground cover such as leaves or even snow.

ROCOCO TOAD: They can reach up to one foot in length. When threatened they inflate their bodies to seem bigger and make huffing noises.

KANGAROO RAT: It’s not related to the kangaroo, but they have hopping like tendencies. They have pouches on the outside of their cheeks to transport seeds. They don’t even need to drink water because they get the necessary hydration from the seeds.

SERVAL: These elegant cats were once worshipped by the Egyptians for their grace and strength. They are 2 times as big as an average cat. It is an effective hunter and have the longest legs relative to body size. They can run up to 50 miles per hour.
